THE TEAM - KAREN HEARD

Karen’s main role in the choir is as conductor / co Musical Director ensuring that everyone is working together and helping to achieve the best sound we can whilst having fun!

She is a trained professional singer and actress who has worked extensively in the Theatre and entertainment Industry for over 25 years. She has toured the country and many parts of the World in Plays and well known Musicals, has been a lead singer in numerous touring Production shows, as well as working as a vocalist for a number ofJazz and Big bands.

Karen's has had the good fortune to work with some skilled and talented singers musicians and musical directors during her professional career and has received invaluable vocal coaching from tutors from The Royal college of Music, The Birmingham conservatoire and the RST all of which she hopes she can share with the All Round Voices community whether it is as choir leader, a one to one Singing teacher a Singing for health practitioner or as a vocal and performance coach.

Karen is also owner and artistic director of the ALL ROUND THEATRE School and Youth Theatre which is based in Feckenham near Redditch.,teaching performing arts to children from 5 to 17 years since 2004. More recently karen has attended various courses training to become a “singing for Health and well being" instructor taking the benefits of this wonderful discipline to people suffering with dementia and Parkinson’s disease and other Health conditions with rewarding results.
